- Interim Procurement Director

Our client is establishing a global production and manufacturing capability to support the company’s expansion in the electronic displays sector. Regarded as a major force in ‘market shift’ technology the company has the above role available for immediate filling.

Working at board level, this role will be expected to establish an effective procurement system which delivers effective price controls to the final product. Where possible this role will be expected to either establish or improve on the commercial terms with existing and new suppliers.

This role is likely to run for a 3 to 4 month period, with the option to extend into a second project of a similar length to establish our client as a prime supplier of volume materials licensees and joint venture partners.

The successful candidate will have established international and preferably Far Eastern supply agreements in the electronics sector.

This role will involve extensive international travel but this project is to be centred on the UK.

Executive Chairman

Part Time

This business challenge requires a part time Executive Chairman with a track record in leading the sale of technology companies, to short timescales. A track record in M&A for companies in the value range of £20m - £30m will be of advantage.

Our client is an established company with revenues, an impressive intellectual property portfolio and has over two decades of experience in their field in advanced imaging and materials characterisation. The role will require leading the company to a successful exit as well as overseeing the fundamentals of a successful business - managing of costs, pipeline development and effective operations. Central to this role will be defining the sale strategy with investors.

You are likely to have worked with a range of suitable advisors in the past and to have the contacts who can assist in the sale and also the value achieved. A technology background and preferably instrumentation experience would be of advantage. Of additional advantage would be experience in selling to the defence, pharma, medical or analytical sectors.

Remuneration is likely to be a combination of a day rate plus a bonus paid on the event and additional uplift on the value achieved. A two to three day per week requirement is anticipated.

Interim Institutional Sales - Business Development

Based in the City of London.

This important senior sales role involves presenting our client’s range of investment solutions for the pension sector to establish a resilient pipeline of skilfully qualified business prospects which lead to profitable business.

The successful candidate will have a track record in selling in the financial services sector. You will be credible in selling high value products at senior level to corporates and local authorities. Experience in selling within the pension fund sector would be a particular advantage.

You will need to be able to meet the FSAs ‘fit and proper’ test but do not, at this point, have to be FSA registered. Training in the relevant asset classes will be given together with support from our client’s product specialists.

This organisation is UK based and a semi-virtual pharmaceutical development company with a low cash burn model. The primary focus is on the discovery and development of plant-derived prescription drugs for the treatment of viral and bacterial infections, metabolic diseases and cancer. The company has links with a network of partners in China including a joint venture with Chinese laboratory with expertise in the development of botanical drugs. The company owns a number of highly relevant patents and has a strong business development strategy. Its lead drug candidate has already completed a successful Phase I clinical trial.

The profile for this CEO is as follows:

Business Development Advisor – Engineering Sector

This is a senior role, open for immediate occupancy, for a client based in Ireland. Our client is a midsized specialist manufacturer of components in Steels, (Stainless and Mild), Aluminium, Brass and Plastics. Production is split 57% turning and 43% Milling (FY07/08) and over 40 million components, from a range of more than 1000 part numbers, were shipped during this period.

Through continual reinvestment in capital equipment the company has ensured reduced labour and increased cycle times. This strategy of procuring the most advanced machining technology available ensures that the company can compete against lower cost economies and at the same time offer customers high quality machined products.

The company has been established for 30 years and is located in a purpose built 30,000 sq ft facility 35 minutes from Dublin airport. As an establishing supplier to international markets such as: UK, Slovakia, US, Mexico and China the company is looking for further international expansion.

This important role is open to address expansion into the following key sectors: Medical device, fire/chemical security sector (manufacturers of devices that pump gases and/or liquids eg: Peristaltic pumps, ventilators, oxygen valves, assisted breathing apparatus), aerospace (in particular aircraft cabins).  Experience in selling machined parts into one or a number of these sectors in the UK market is essential.

The successful candidate must have experience of selling precision engineering solutions to original equipment manufacturers in the above markets. An understanding of machining processes and manufacturing would also be an advantage.

Development Director – Emerging Markets

Senior Executive Talent

This is a rare opportunity to join one of Europe’s most progressive senior executive talent providers delivering Western senior executive talent into a rapidly developing global market.

To achieve success we are building a Super Connectors™ programme as well as beginning the process of developing world class contacts to support the growth of this division.

The role involves working with executives in our connectors programme and with Intramezzo Directors tasked to each of the emerging markets (New Europe already appointed), each of whom will deliver contacts to the success of this venture. You will also be required to develop a plan to be agreed at board level which involves developing your own networking efforts. Specific areas for concentration include embassies and trade development agencies.
