This is a senior role, open for immediate occupancy, for a client based in Ireland. Our client is a midsized specialist manufacturer of components in Steels, (Stainless and Mild), Aluminium, Brass and Plastics. Production is split 57% turning and 43% Milling (FY07/08) and over 40 million components, from a range of more than 1000 part numbers, were shipped during this period. Through continual reinvestment in capital equipment the company has ensured reduced labour and increased cycle times. This strategy of procuring the most advanced machining technology available ensures that the company can compete against lower cost economies and at the same time offer customers high quality machined products. The company has been established for 30 years and is located in a purpose built 30,000 sq ft facility 35 minutes from Dublin airport. As an establishing supplier to international markets such as: UK, Slovakia, US, Mexico and China the company is looking for further international expansion. This important role is open to address expansion into the following key sectors: Medical device, fire/chemical security sector (manufacturers of devices that pump gases and/or liquids eg: Peristaltic pumps, ventilators, oxygen valves, assisted breathing apparatus), aerospace (in particular aircraft cabins). Experience in selling machined parts into one or a number of these sectors in the UK market is essential. The successful candidate must have experience of selling precision engineering solutions to original equipment manufacturers in the above markets. An understanding of machining processes and manufacturing would also be an advantage. An attractive day rate is offered with expenses. Interviews in the first instance will be in London.
